2021 Inclusion Summit

Description

The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Inclusion Summit is set for Wednesday, Nov. 10 at the FFA Enrichment Center at the Des Moines Area Community College Ankeny Campus. Attendees will also have the option to join virtually. The event’s theme is “Equity in Action,” and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about what equity means and discover tools and resources to build equity-centered practices, systems and organizations. Speakers include: 
 

• James Wright, a dynamic and compelling leader with a demonstrated ability to inspire and catalyze large corporations to develop strategic plans and programs that frequently receive national recognition for their effectiveness in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). 
• Kerrien (Kay) Suarez, Executive Director of Equity in the Center, a field-wide initiative to influence social sector leaders to shift mindsets, practices and systems to achieve race equity. 
• Kenji Yoshino, Chief Justice Earl Warren Professor of Constitutional Law at NYU School of Law and the Director of the Center for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.
